Does this seem fair to you?

i wouldn't feel cheated especially cuz if you had booked a round trip flight and didn't get on that connecting flight to salt lake city your trip home would be automatically cancled and you'd end up spending much more than me anyways cuz then you'd have to pay an additional amount to fly back home. plus your luggage would go on to salt lake city without you (unless you did not check any luggage)
